Cladding, Flat and Steel Roofs

Roof renovation and renewal to a retail redevelopment as part of a regeneration programme.

Roofing requirements:

This prestigious retail property refurbishment in the heart of Bingley town centre contained complex roofing structures and modern signage materials. The roofing work required the highest quality installation techniques and materials.

Powder Coated Aluminium Cladding

Aluminium cladding was erecting to an existing stone facade to create a modern, appealing design that would attract shoppers. The powder coated sky blue cladding was meachanicaly fixed to 100x75mm C16 graded and treated timbers in accordance with the architectural drawings and specifications. The beneath the aluminium cladding the structural frames were entirely clad with in 18mm W.B.P. Plywood to increase the structural integrity and improve the fixing base for the amuminium panels and all trims including window surrounds.

Facia and Soffit

Around much of the property is the dark grey aluminium soffit, facia detail and signage we installed, such as at the centre entrance where there is also access to the library.

Flat Felt Roof

The main flat roof covered an area of 400 square metres. The roof required a new deck layer of WBP plywood and firrings, drainage and a two layer felt system including a vapour dispersion layer and a fully bonded green mineral felt capping layer. Detailed felt work was required on the vertical upstands.

Insulated Metal Sheeted Roof

Large areas of the building required Kingspan insulated pannel steel roof sheeted materials. These were installed in accordance with the drawings and specifications.

Lift Shaft Roof

We installed the lift shaft roof - it is a single skin construction and includes all the barge boards and aluminium rainwater goods.

Feature Entrance Roof

As part of the property modernisation the entrance was renovated, including the feature roof. We installed the plastic coated flat panel steel roof feature with integrated guttering and drainage.
