Industrial Kingspan Insulated Steel Roof

Warehouse roof replacement with composite roofing panels.

We replaced multiple roof systems over an extensive industrial warehouse with an insulated steel roof system.

Existing Timber Frame

The new roof was installed onto the existing timber roof purlins to minimise disturbance to the building occupants. The installation was quickly and cleanly progressed without need for heated products.

External Roof

The steel roof panels have a high performance coating on the weathered side that is durabile and retains its colour over a long lifespan.

The insulating layer provide a reliable and efficient heat retention and cold insulation with airtight qualities.

Panels also have fire classification and sound reduction qualities.

Roof panels are resistant to attack from mould, fungi, mildew and vermin.

Externally the steel profile will channel rainwater to gutters efficiently.

Rooflights

Installed into the roof are Polycarb roof light systems, specifically the Kingspan "Natural light trapezoidal translucent system" that allows natural light to penetrte the roof and reduce the need for artificial lighting.

These systems add sustainability to the building and reduce lighting costs and improve the working environment. U-value ratings of 1.64W/m2K also help prevent heat loss. The life expectancy of the rooflight is 25 years.

Internal Roof

Internally the roof is bright white with an easy clean polyester surface to suit the industrial environment.
